It is new years day...Not the morning of new years day at 11 o'clock and I have just surfaced, no;It is 12.25am and I have just watched the new year in at home while consuming a glass of wine or two.
I love watching all Jools Holland's shows, 'Hootonay' as it is called on New years eve is worth staying in for.
I have never been big on New years eve anyway, as a kid it was always mediocre and meant i just sat next my papa and saw it in. Mama was always in bed by the time the bells chimed, she hasn't changed since then and still goes to bed not long after dinner! She makes me laugh lots.
They got better as I went through my 'raving days' but if truth be told, I hated raving and everything that came with it. The thought of getting in at 8am in the morning and not particularly being 'with it', feels me with dread and makes me feel a little sick just thinking about it! Lot's of the 'old' lot will still be out nowadays. I just don't get it; It really wasn't for me.

God Bless that boy Jesus or heysus or whatever it is
Very nearly the best time of year is upon us, I love these holidays, probably the only time I love that religion has a place in society as we get time to see family and people have days off so we can all eat there food on the day of the lord!
It is our time this year.....10 people for dinner, I won't be able to cope, Luckily I have Natasha.........
My cough is still here, bastard thing it is. A little tired but I am on the mend. I overdosed on Paracetemol yesterday! I kid ye not.....That is another story altogether....I am off to shop for the food now...ta ta

My eyes have changed colour, Natasha says they have, I agree, they have gone lighter. How the hell has this happened and y?
I haven’t a clue or ever had an idea that my eyes would change colour during my life, so unfair, it is probably the only thing I wouldn’t change about myself!
I haven’t been blogging due to the hectic lifestyle and doing far too much but I can see a horizon finally. So I am going to be on here a lot more, I want to blog about the forthcoming Christmas holidays as I can see it being the best holiday time I have ever had.
I hope to play this song as much as possible.

My hatred of soaps

Many of the amazing things that Natasha says
Work and strikes.
Knee problems.
Remind me, reminding myself to remind me...........

What have I done?!
I am committed to an event in October, and I am not too sure why I ever committed. I have signed up to run 16 miles. Yes, sixteen big ones. Why have I done this?
Running is plain boring and hard to do. Lets be honest, there are very few people out there that can just get up in the morning and decide they would like to pound the pavements for half hour or so. I am certainly not one of those people, I am the complete reverse. It takes so much for me to gain the motivation to go and run the streets. An immense amount of mental torture is what I go through!
Like all exercise, once you complete a run you feel great and it’s a wonder why it is so hard to motivate?!
Anyway, so I have signed up to run 16 miles in the Kingston Breakfast run. I have done it before so I know I can do it. I’m strangely looking forward to it but I am finding it hard to go beyond five miles at the moment. This is a slight problem if you are trying to complete sixteen. When I done it before I was running for charitable reasons, I haven’t got it in me to ask for money this time around, I want to do this for a bit of fun and maybe one day attempt the marathon.
I am doing it with Danny from work; he has the head size of a zeppelin, so hopefully his legs will be able to carry him around the course.
Wish me luck

My Relief
This is far too easy……. It really does seem that way. We are a five weeks in and she has slept through the night for the last two weeks.
Don’t get me wrong, she wasn’t particularly keeping us up either; only waking up for a feed in the night and then going back to sleep after a bit of winding.(‘bit of winding’ actually meaning a good 20-30 min’s of fantastic adult sounding burps)
She is sleeping for a good 6-7 hours now and that just about suits me down to the ground.

So it is going quite well and I’m enjoying every minute of the time I spend with my daughter.
I know she is my daughter. Most say that there offspring have similar eyes, or have similar noses etc. You can imagine my euphoria, when it was said by a few people that Isabella has neither my nose nor my eyes (eye).
The reason for this euphoria is two fold and is quite justified. You see, for since my teenage years and beyond. It has been pointed out to me that I seem to possess quite a big nose. Whilst I cannot ignore the fact my nose isn’t small, I have always felt it wasn’t really what I would pick out as an imperfection. I know myself and there are sooooooo many more, obviously I am not going to point this out to people!
So; I have a big hooter, a big snozz, a large conk. Call it what you want but once it is in peoples minds then I am afraid to say that it sticks. No amount of sobbing and despair can stop people taking the piss…I assure u.

The nose thing was started so affectionately by Firmager many years ago. It has been taking up since by the main protagonist in piss taking, that man being none other than John ‘the chad’ Allen.
So whenever I see these two, you will find the words conk or snozz in the conversation for sure.
The other reason for my euphoria would be my eyes. Or as the boys would lovingly point out; my lack of eyes.
A strange phenomenon seemed to happen to me in the last ten yrs or so. My eyes seem to be drifting closer together! They really have, it doesn’t particularly bother me as Natasha says I am gorgeous (she has to!). Alas, my friends do not quite join her in her lust, they regularly use this as the subject of their piss-takes.
I wish there was a medical name for it so as to describe it better, I would like to offer to the British Medical Association my very own names.
Cyclopitus
?
Or
Oneitus
?
Or
BarbaraStreisandatitus
I personally favour the last one.
Here is me. Here is Babs Streisand.

Like a mirror.
Natasha says I am gorgeous remember..........
I am not too sure what exactly has happened to my face. They certainly weren't always like this.
The one saving grace I suppose is that the same thing is happening to my brother Rhys. Perhaps it is contageous? If u see me, don't rub eyes with me!
So Isabella doesn't have either. Hoorah.
Well, I should stop the hoorahs right there, because much to Natashas dismay. Poor Isabella has my feet..... I don't mean they are size 9 already, that would just be plain weird!
No, she has mini replicas of my feet, scale models infact. Mine aren't smelly or freakish. They just wouldn't look right if u were a girl, thats all!
Take a look at this.

Notice the long second toe and the hammer big toe. The way they all curl the same way.....
I am so proud.
At least she has something of me!

Blah
I went back to work today and I am absolutely shattered. Not firefighting, back to aircon for the day and I didn't particularly like it. As you can guess, I missed Isabella and Natasha immensely. I haven't got much to write right now due to my tiredness but there is plenty in the offing. My mind is a little excited by putting my latest thoughts on here. I have a few whinges lined up thats for sure. They include right now at the forefront of my mind; disabled people and there car parking advantages, and my local co-op.
I have been quite excited by the amount of people that read this and the positive replies I get.
Back to Firefighting job tomorrow and I am looking forward to seeing the boys, I have missed them very much. I should blog about them, there are a whole conglomorate of wronguns those boys.
Sleep for now mind.
